JustInkBoutIt began not as a business but as a standard. A decision that the work would always matter more than the volume, that each client would receive the same level of focus and craft regardless of the size of their piece.
Over a decade behind the needle, and not a single piece was designed for anyone other than the person who wears it. That approach makes the studio slower by design, and better by every other measure.
The studio operates privately, by appointment only, with a roster kept intentionally small. The clients who find this place tend to stay. They come back for second pieces, third pieces, bringing people they care about. That loyalty is the only metric that matters.

His path ran through stunt performance, professional football, and film production before ink became the medium that stuck. Each discipline added something the others could not. Precision. In 2020, the XFL draft felt like a turning point. When the league folded during the pandemic, Malcom pivoted rather than paused. A suggestion from a family member planted the seed. Within months, tattooing went from an idea to a practice built on the same commitment that defined every phase before it.
By 2023, he returned to stunt work on the television series All American while running JustInkBoutIt in parallel. Two crafts requiring the same thing: total focus, physical discipline, and zero room for error. The overlap was not coincidental. It was a blueprint.
The private studio was never about exclusivity for its own sake. It was about protecting the quality of every piece. Fewer clients. More time per session. Work that is sentimental and meaningful rather than fast and forgettable. That was the standard from day one.

Shadow and Silence
The primary language of the studio. Black and grey demands control over tone rather than colour. Every shadow is built in layers. Every highlight is earned by restraint. The result is a depth that colour rarely achieves.
Fine Line
Precision as Poetry
Single-needle work at its most disciplined. Fine line tattooing punishes imprecision and rewards patience. The line must be clean, the spacing deliberate, and the negative space treated as part of the composition.
Geometric

Geometric forms follow rules. Angles must be consistent. Symmetry must be exact. The appeal of geometric work is that it cannot hide behind accident. Every piece either holds up to scrutiny or it does not.

Malcom does not measure his work against anyone else in the industry. That comparison, he believes, is where most artists lose themselves. The only benchmark that matters is where you were yesterday. Every session is a chance to be better than the last one.
That mindset was shaped across three different careers. Stunt work taught him that the body has more capacity than it thinks. Professional sports taught him that setbacks are not endings. Tattooing taught him that permanence demands a standard of care that other art forms never have to face.
He builds himself spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally, because a depleted artist produces depleted work. The craft requires a full person behind it. That is not a luxury. It is the job.
